Monster trucks? MINI Monster Trucks?? HUH???

In my quest to bring you, my readers, the best and most interesting material on the net, I bring you Mini Monster Trucks. A few days ago I came across this video of what appeared to be something like claymation or something. To be honest I didn’t even know! But I read the article and it said it was something called tilt shift photography, which makes something that is real look like it is in fact a miniature!! Pretty neat!! Check the video out here, and the full article below.

Indeed this some unique art. My girlfriend has an uncle who takes out elements in video so people can reflect on other parts. Like he erased an Ali in a fight, just showing the other person getting beat.

Wooooow, this is done in video shop? You really need to be good with computers to do all this. Recently there was a post on John Chow Dot Com about the worlds greatest mind. Fantastic video editing done.

No this isn’t YouTube stuff. This is high art where people pay hundred of thousands for it. He uses major television studio quality to achieve it. His break out was with a piece on basketball, the Knicks paid huge bucks for it.

According to the write-up simply three things, 1) time lapse, 2). far angle from above, and 3). enhanced shadows.

I love when things are simple but produce amazing results.

It could even be on a helicopter or a plane. Most sports nowadays are shot this way.

Thats the reason why most blogs use simple and clean design.

I got a “sorry this video no longer exists.” But that may be a momentary glitch.

Finally got it. It was kewl (like watching monster trucks), little heavy on the techno soundtrack but interesting. When I think monster trucks, I think southern rock like leonard skynyrd.

But that is not the point, the story is the tilt shift photography. Interesting, artsy types should love that. Instead of art imitating life, life is imitating art.

When you see motorsports some camera angles show similar effects.

Vimeo has this issue of videos going off air. Better to use youtube.

I have noticed a lot of A-list bloggers use Vimeo. Don’t know why it is preferable over YouTube.

Maybe because it looks more stylish then youtube.

I somehow am not a big fan of monster trucks. I prefer sports cars, the sound of one is mindblowing. However the monster trucks are very good too, love the way they jump all over.
