Curiosity Killed the Cat

First off - not my cat lol.

Today’s post is a bit delayed, as I’ve been cranking away at OnePoke.com.  So I’m sorry about that!

Anyways todays “The Big Picture” post is all about the common phrase “curiosity killed the cat.”  Very simply put, it means be careful where you stick your nose, because it could get you an undesired result!

I can’t count the times that I’ve stuck my nose into something, expecting one thing, but have been dealt a completely unexpected result!!  Let me tell you, you’ll very rarely see it coming.

Through the years, I have, as a result, learned not to pry, or try to get involved in something, unless I was fully prepared to deal with whatever consequences might result.  Fine - if you REALLY have to know, or REALLY want to get involved, FINE.  Go ahead.

But don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Often, I have found it to be simply the temptation of HAVING to know that has drawn me, like a fly to a light bulb to involving myself in a situation.  Then I think back, how often was the answer WORTH the problems, or stress that came out of involving myself in the situation.

For those of you that didn’t get what I meant - maybe 1% of the time the answer was worth it, but even then it wasn’t that great.

I hope I’m getting my point across here.  RESIST THE TEMPTATION!! Its really not worth it.  I know - sometimes I state the obvious, but I find it is the most obvious facts that are hardest to adhere to!!

Happy blogging! :)

A very valid point covered there Taris. I know and have been at the receiving end at many times when i stuck my nose for no reasons. Its best not to do so. Stick to what you can handle.
