Blog Mistake Mondays @ AverageGal.com
As any veteran blogger knows, we all make mistakes. One of my fellow bloggers has decided to start a Monday feature that aims to highlight the mistakes we, as bloggers, make in our careers. The aim of the feature to allow people to learn from each others mistakes. As she put it, we hear about the successful bloggers, but not the unsuccessful ones.
Check out her blog and her feature at this link to find out how you can avoid becoming one of the blogs that just ends up dying out!!

This is really interesting. This will surely be useful for new bloggers. I am sure all bloggers when they start off have made lots of mistakes. My biggest blog mistake was to start off with blogger, lol.
Good post, just went over and read it.
Good to see someone the stature of JR still takes the time to visit a recommended blog of a relative newbie.
That is called being down to earth. Really appreciate that.
sounds cool, just looked over it as well
Would be interested if you have something gone awry that we can learn from?
One mistake which even A group bloggers do is clutter up content.
Am subscribed to AverageGal too. She asked about mistakes when starting blogging, wondering if recent blunders would work too. I have plenty new and old.
Glad we don’t stop making mistakes, as then we don’t stop learning.
You should see it this way, i found 10 ways how not to make more traffic.
Indeed, a good point. Or should I say good 10 points.
I love the tagline of averagegirl.com, if i can make money online than anybody can.
That is a good one. Need to develop a few for my sites. Like Shoe’s- it’s like fishing with dynamite and skills to pay the bills. Set’s the tone for the visitor.
But you need to think out of the box. Not something common but something different. Something nobody is using.
Taris why don’t you also start a section similar to averagegirl. It would be easy for you to track since you just got started.
Unsuccesful blogger is poor phrasing. Perhaps we are still learning, novice bloggers may be more appropiate.
We can term it which ever way we want, the main aim is to convey the message and learn something.
I am still making mistakes, hate to share them before I fix them.
Everybody does. You learn from them don’t you. It takes courage to share them.
Here are some of my Power-Maxx contest mistakes. Not starting, maintaining early comments for the comment contest. JWR, not entering. Both procrastination errors.
Common we all learn from our mistakes. We can’t win all contests. But you can come second too
Shoemoney had a very cool post about mistakes and bad business decisions. Some are quite funny.
The greatest take away I got from that post is that he doesn’t just talk, think or plan, he does. That is why he is where he is.
But his blog has cooled down quite a bit. Darren Rowse has a pretty good blog too.
I don’t read shoemoney much but where ever i have read the most common mistake is to put too many ads on the blog.
