As we get closer and closer to full public launch, the time is approaching for OnePoke.com to start taking on advertisers. I am giving you, my loyal blog readers, first dibs on the advertising spots for the first three months the site is up and running.

Here is the way the advertising will work. The cost for three months will be $30, or $10 per month. Our goal is to have enough traffic at the end of that three month period, that we would raise the monthly fee up to $20 per month.

Here’s where it gets interesting. What happens if we don’t reach our traffic goal, or what happens if traffic explodes?? You might ask yourself, will I get ripped off, or will I get charged more for the extra traffic?

The answer to that question is: ABSOLUTELY NOT!

If, lets say you sign up, and after 3 months our traffic is at a level that is only half of where we wanted it to be, we will extend you advertising term until they DO reach that level. So if it takes 6 months to get to that level, you’ll have paid $30 dollars, for 6 months worth of advertising!

If, lets say you sign up, and we reach our traffic goal after just one month, and the next two months the traffic blows up, and you’re getting insane referrals from our site, we won’t charge you a single cent extra, and you will get a whole ton more traffic than you expected.

In either scenario, you guys win - either you get an extra long ad term, or you get a huge value for the traffic you will receive. Either way, we are setting out to make OnePoke.com the most cost effective place for anyone to advertise on.

This price will be offered through the duration of the beta stage, as well as the first month. Anyone that signs up during the beta phase will get their ad put up immediately, and you will receive bonus exposure as a result. The actual term of the ad agreement will begin on the first day that we’re fully public and out of beta.

We are only offering a total of 10 spots, and the ad size is the 160×600 skyscraper, and we are going to be revising our page so that the ad space you are purchasing is the ONLY ad space on the page. We will be eliminating the top ad completely. Ads will be displayed randomly, and will appear at the right side of every page on the site.

We currently have 260 users signed up - expect signups to snowball as soon as beta is done with.
