10 Easy Steps to Make the Front Page of Digg
So I was reading into other ways to drive traffic to my blog, and came across the idea to use services like Digg.com and stumbleupon to do it.
I came across an article by SEO Black Hat - seems like he’s got some great information!! This article very simple details 10 seemingly simple ways to make the digg front page. I thought, might as well read it and give it a shot!! I suggest you read through it yourself, as some of the ideas are pretty out there, and the article is down right hilarious. Bravo on the creativity. Anyways, here’s my go at trying to make page number one of digg!!!
1) Make a list - OK DONE!!!
2) Write about Digg - ALSO DONE!!! Digg rocks - hope my experiment works - DIGG ME PEOPLE!! lol
3) Appeal to Apple Fanboys - GREAT!!! I’m already an Apple fanboy!! I charge my Iphone 3g with my Macbook Pro and I have one of those new Apple gizmos that they’re releasing in a month to test and review for my blog. ALL SET THERE
4) Gloom and Doom about how Global Warming Will Destroy Us all - WELL ITS TRUE!!! Oceans are rising, polar bears are dying, ice caps are melting - hell I can barely breathe when I go outside!! GLOBAL WARMING OHNOES!!!
5) Write about how Great Firefox Is - WELL THAT’S FRIGGIN OBVIOUS!!! I’m using Firefox RIGHT NOW!! I’ll even screenshot it for you if you want!! If only APPLE made Firefox - thats the only thing that could make it even MORE amazing than it already is!! And I’ve heard that it reduces my computers CO2 emissions, thus helping with GLOBAL WARMING!!! WOOT BRAP!!!
6) Remeber Walmart, George Bush and Fox News have never done anything Right - DUHHHHH!! Everyone knows this!!! Walmart’s screwing the little guy and putting him outta business, George Bush’s helped put the US into one of the biggest toilets ever in existence, and Fox News couldn’t even get the election results right!! I was swapping between them and Katie Couric, and the numbers didn’t even match up!! What election were those morons watching!!! I was doing the WTF face each time I swapped over. Eventually, I just closed the PIP.
7) Repeat after me: “Microsoft sucks, Microsoft blows, Down with Microsoft!”: That’s right!!! Use Apple products only - s*&ts off the hook.
8 ) Make up outrageous statistics that you have not researched - 99% of Xbox 360’s have RROD’d, even the newer ones that supposedly don’t (Yea that’s right - see number 7), Global Warming will kill us all by 2012, 100% of Firefox users have reported feeling sexier after use, 9/10 Apple Ipods can be used to transmit walmart propaganda to the Fox News Ticker to help devalue the company. Check, check, double check
9) Insult as many groups as you can - I’ll update this one later, in the mean time, pop in the latest Family Guy dvd you have lying around - that should take care of number 9 in my absence.
10) Include the Slowest Loading Plugin - well I found it, and it was so slow that it didn’t load, even for me with my apple and firefox awesomeness going on over here. If I fail, I’ll blame it all on the lack of this key ingredient.
So there it is!!! By tomorrow morning, I should be one page one of Digg, and half a billion posts in this thread!!! Thanks SEO Black Hat for the great tips, and thanks to my awesomeness for implementing the method OH so well. SEE YOU GUYS ON PAGE ONE!!

he does it, as he employs all those blackhat methods for his other sites and makes money from those remaining ones.. trust me, as far as i can guess he makes well over 4000$ a month…

Hopefully!!! If you guys could be so kind as to digg it as well - that would be much appreciated - so far I’m not on page one - I guess I have to blame it on the fact that I didn’t include the world’s slowest loading plugin lol
DUGG… seriously i liked the post… but if u wanna be on first page.. the tactics just dont go like this.. read some seriously nice posts on “HOW TO GET ON THE FIRST PAGE OF DIGG”..
i have tried enough but you really need some good skills for that matter..
or if u really want that, hire some DIGG POST specialist, must cost nearly 200-300$ for a single post that gets on first page of digg..
but before that try and get some better money-making method, because digg traffic is real bad for Adsense.

I joined StumbleExchange, doesn’t seem to work too well. It has so much potential that I want to redo it.
I have thought about a BlackHat type forum would be nice, if you could have a tight-lipped group who could help each other with such things such as stumbles or diggs.

can u elaborate… i dint get it…
very simply.. to be on the first page of digg.com, has never to do with the saturation level..
digg.com can be easily beaten with quality content (real quality) and the network you have on digg..
thats why digg-post specialists guarantee you to be on the first page, in 200-300$..
do the specialist write the content too? Or just modify it for digg-ability. If the net uniques to a site came under $0.25 each ($300/#_of_uniques) I would consider that worth doing.

Great post. Late to the party, but loved the humorist writing. Digg seems cliquish from what I have gathered. But this post does bring to bare a real truth, your typical, on-line “10 Ways To Do X” rarely work. Either, the writer forgets he has some real advantages over the masses (like an awesome network of minions) or themselves have never done it, just regurgitate what they have found elsewhere.
The truth is- if it was easy everyone would do it. Another is- once someone figures out how to do something awesome, they probably are not going tell others how to do it (at least for free). But I guess that is what makes our attempts to make money on-line fun- the journey.
